YES and NO! Let me explain! What most folks do not know is that the IDEXX, Immulite 1000, Mini Vidas,  and many other systems will run the same Progesterone sample and come up with very different results. THIS IS EXPECTED! Is this a problem? NO and here is why. 

Some systems are florescent and some are chemiluminescence and others use a photometer. The method of measurement (and the reagents) are very different hence we get different numbers on the same sample running on the two types of analyzers. 

The Cube Vet Health Screening System has been correlated with the Mini Vidas and Immulite 1000 which is the reference method for the IDEXX labs. 

The calibration of the test kits (using the Rif card in the test kit box) is simple and automatic when you load the RIF card. The timing charts sent with the lot are downloadable here on the site use this data to give you an easy to read chart for timing.

Example: if you go to your vet and they are running an IDEXX system then you have your test run on a Mini Vidas you will see very different results that may cause you to get your timing solution's wrong if you don't adjust for the method differences. The Calibration process for your Cube Vet Health Screening system is very simple! Your kit lot of Progesterone test kits come with a calibration RID Card. These cards store the "Calibration Curve" for that lot of Progesterone test kits. So All you need do is drop the RIF Card onto the reader on the top of the unit. The RID is automatically read and the lot calibration is done.
